September is National Preparedness Month and we at SERVPRO® of Tigard/Tualatin to make sure you are prepared in case of disaster. The American Red Cross encourages that each household and car have a preparedness kit. Recommended items include water, canned food, a can opener, a first aid kit, spare shoes, warm clothes, rain gear, a battery powered radio, extra batteries, cash, flashlights, sleeping bags and more. When getting a kit together it is important to account for the number of people in your household to make sure there will be enough for everyone for a few days.
