You may think that a fire cannot happen to you, you are safe and you take precautions, but did you know that the number of home fires the American Red Cross has responded to has actually risen 10% since 2000? One way to limit the possibility of fires in your home is to follow the Home Fire Safety Checklist put out by the American Red Cross, we will be sharing a tip with you each day. Designate one person to walk around your home to make sure that all candles and smoking materials are properly extinguished.
