The Holidays can be many different things to all different people, busy, overwhelming, festive, lonely, and fun, the list goes on and on. One thing we want to help make the holidays and all year long is safe. SERVPRO® of Tigard/Tualatin has gathered a tip a day to help you get in the Holiday spirit, with as little headache for you and as little time or disruption as possible. Pets are a member of your family but the Holidays can put them at extra risk of danger. One area to take extreme caution is around your Christmas tree, to help limit potential of danger for your pet make sure to follow these simple tips. Use plastic ornaments instead of glass as they are safer, or at least place glass ornaments higher on the tree out of reach of your pets. Don’t add chemicals to the water to keep your tree hydrated, pets will not know that it is contaminated and can easily drink chemicals that will put them at great risk. Make sure to stabilize your tree to help limit risk of injury for both your pet and you and lastly don’t use tinsel as it can be a choking hazard for your furry friend.
